This handcrafted Hummel figurine comes direct from the world's only authorized producer of Hummel designs and features Ruprecht Hummel, modeled in 1986 by Gerhard Skrobek under the name of 'Father Christmas'. Every piece is back-stamped by Goebel and carries the M.I. Hummel signature. In addition, a Certificate of Authenticity accompanies each. This piece has an incised 1987 copyright date. It was released in the spring of 1997 in a Limited Edition of 20000 sequentially numbered pieces. M.I. Hummel products are the result of a successful partnership between W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik (German for porcelain factory) and the talented German artist, Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. Her paintings of youthful innocence have been transformed by the master artists of the Goebel factory into three-dimensional works of art.
